VROM in Göteborg 9-11/8

First of all sorry for writing in english now, but it´s late and I am tired.

Every year VROM is held in august, VROM is short for Volvo Rendezvous Owners Meeting and was first held in 1987.
Since couple of year the meeting is held from friday to sunday. With different programs during the days:

Friday is reserved for some kind of excursion or visit, last year visited the test track at Hällered owned and driven by Volvo, it was totaly crazy! But it was also expensive for VROM.
So this year it´s a bit smaller, but I am sure it will be good!

Saturday is rally day, about 80-100 km tour which ends up at the Volvo Museum, and in evening probably a little surprise at the Museum!

Sunday is big meeting outside Volvo Museum and swap meet! Last year we had around 500 cars if I remember right!

Would be lovely if we could get some VolvoPower members coming! Maybe you allready have been here? Every year we have Elch drivers from Germany visiting us!

bin in der Zeit zwar auf Öland, aber wenn an dem Wochenende nichts ansteht, komme ich für 1-2Tage rüber...

gibt es den Flohmarkt für Autoteile noch? War das letzte mal vor ~8Jahren dort...

Hallo!

Ja es gibt ein flohmarkt am sonntag, normalen ist es ganz viele verkäufer, meisten für alte Volvos. Aber auch für 2/7/8/900.

das Datum passt ja super da ich eh am 10. oder 11. auf dem Rückweg vom Deutschland Urlaub an Göteborg vorbei fahre werde ich wohl mal anhalten und mir das anschauen.
 
Wir werden mit einer Gruppe mit wahrscheinlich 6-8 Personen und vier Autos auch dabei sein. :)

An sich spricht da nix gegen. Wir werden im Laufe des Nachmittags am 10.08. nach Göteborg reinfahren, dann hoffentlich mit den VROM-Leuten zusammentreffen, und dann mal schauen, was Göteborg so bietet. Am besten wäre es dann, Kontaktnummern auszutauschen.
 
Ich werde am Samstag mit der Rally von Trollhättan aus in Göteborg ankommen. Meine Nummer schicke ich dir mal als PN Dany
 
Once again sorry for writing in english :-/

The plan with drinking a beer sounds great! As you might have read on our homepage there is soup on saturday evening, and there will also be a little surprise which I don´t think is written on homepage, but it will be interesting!

Where will you guys stay? I live in Göteborg, but I am involved with all activitys so I want to be close to the museum during the weekend and have a room booked at Hotel Arken, it´s only 5 minutes of walk from Volvo Museum and 200-300 meter.

No problem! We (the group with six people I already registered on your homepage) will be staying at a camp site somewhere outside Göteburg and will join the group as soon as you arrive at the Volvo museum. From there on, I think there will be enough possibilities to spend some time together. :)
 
I gonna Stay Friday to Saturday in Trollhättan and will arrive with the Rally in Göteborg and will Stay the night in the Scandic Hotel out in Backadal
 
DanyS: Maybe Lilleby Camping? It´s a popular choice by our other german guests. You come on Saturday, or at friday afternoon?
