TI / Walbro 750hp fuel pump

Hello all,

please accept my apology for posting in non english section of the forum. I'd love to speak & write German language, unfortunately I don't.

So, has anyone had any experience with TI / Walbro F90000267 fuel pump?

The pump is merchandised to do 350L at 5Bar which is more than perfect for the S60R.
So i grabbed a hold on one of these pumps, but this pump is a monster. I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit it to the OEM fuel pump bucket.

Have you heard of anyone running the same setup? I'd appreciate if you can share any info.

Hallo Zeljko,

I went with the AEM 50 1200 Ethanol pump. There is no way to fit the Walbro unit in there.

The installation of the AEM 50 1200 is almost p&p. I only had to widen the basket with a dremel tool.

You have to replace the curly hose (it is formed like a loop) from the pump to the upper part of the basket. The factory hose is made out of plastic, so you can't reuse it.

Daniel told me that I need 280-300LPH @ 5Bar for my setup.
I have looked in the datasheet for the product and it states 265L/h @ 70PSI (72,5PSI is 5Bar) so I think that this pump will fall short for my application.
The Bosch FP200 (or 044 as many call it) is around 230-240LPH at 5 Bar and 13V.
The bustard TI/Walbro is rated to 355LPH at 5 Bar and 13,5V (this supply seems achievable in the car)

I took the OEM Volvo fuel pump assembly out today and there is no way that the Bustard TI pump will be plug and play so I took out my dremel tool and cut few bits off. I might have this pump installed at the end of the day, but it is not something I'd call a perfect fit. It would be really nice to make the whole pump assembly bucket out of stainless steel and then install the OEM recirculation pump and the Bustard TI pump.
I'll post pictures of the modified plastic peace once I'm done cutting it.

Thanks for the comments on the project. I'll post some pictures here once I finish this fuel pump modification. FYI, the engine is finally in the car, but I'm waiting for the AC return line to be modified to continue with the project.

I haven't had any time to finish the butchery on the original plastic pump support, but I don't regret it also. I think I'll make a stainless steel version and find adequate filters for the pumps. I'll keep you guys posted.

One thing is for sure: TI "Bustard pump" is going in the tank!

could you take pictures for me, especially from the wire routing of the main pump to the upper part of the Basket?

Im not shure if I swapped the connectors between the two fuelpumps.
 
The main fuel pump is ending with the 022 numbers. That one should be replaced with your performance pump and it should be connected to the short power lead - straight to the fuel tank cover.


The pump on the left is 022 - main delivery pump.

In order to fit the Bustard TI pump, I had to rotate the transfer pump to the right by cutting half of the supporting brackets off. Then I had to cut more than half of supporting brackets, for the main pump in order to move it inwards to clear the sidewall of the pot.
I'll need to find a way of securing the pumps now, and after that is done I'll post pictures of the finished product. Right now I'm battling between 304 or aluminium.
